Saturday Night Soul
2026 · Acrylic, spray paint, and mixed media on canvas with impasto relief and trompe-l'œil dimensionality · 60 × 48 in (152.4 × 121.9 cm)
“Saturday Night Soul is not a painting about nightlife — it is nightlife. Every layer of acrylic, every burst of spray paint, carries the pulse of a city alive after dark.”
In Full Light
The figures press forward through dense layers of acrylic and atmospheric spray. Raised textural relief creates a surface that advances and recedes as you move. At 60 × 48 inches, the scale commands the room the way a crowd commands a dance floor.
In Low Light
When the lights dim, the ancestors behind the figures become visible. The energy beneath the surface awakens. Saturday Night Soul exists twice. Two paintings. One canvas.
